The book cover for Red Tape was updated in 2016 in order to more accurately reflect its cozy mystery genre.
Red Tape is the first book in the Jersey Shore Mystery Series. This cozy mystery is a tale about a single mom, Chelsey Alton, who is trying to balance her family and career when things start to go haywire at her job in a quirky little town named Sunshine, located at the Jersey shore. She encounters an irate resident, corruption in the government, and destruction caused by Hurricane Sandy. When Chelsey starts to figure out the truth behind the mayhem, she finds herself framed for a crime she did not commit. She narrowly escapes several attempts at her demise, only to find herself in a much more precarious situation.
Shweta Shankar for Readers’ Favorite says, “The author’s style is fast and riveting and holds the reader’s interest throughout the book. The plot develops well, building up the suspense until the reader is hooked! It is a gripping, gritty novel that leads the reader through a maze of events and emotions, electrifying drama in one page to love and compassion in the next! This book is a compelling page turner.”
