I’m feeling so honored! I learned tonight that my novel, Major Crimes (Book #4 in the Jersey Shore Mystery Series), has made the 2016 Finalist list for Chanticleer’s Mystery and Mayhem Awards. The Mystery & Mayhem Awards writing competition recognizes emerging new talent and outstanding works in the genre of Cozy Mysteries and Not-So-Cozy Mysteries.
I’ve recently updated the cover to more accurately reflect it’s cozy mystery genre, as you may already know. This is the final version. I’ve also been working on updating the other covers in the series and will be rolling those out in a few weeks!
If you haven’t read it now, you can get the first three books in a box set for only $2.99 for a limited time on Amazon by clicking here. I’ve updated the cover for this as well and that should be appearing on Amazon within a week.
I’d be remiss if I didn’t congratulate the other authors as well. Here was the list of the first place winners. If you love cozy mysteries, check them out!
Animal Mystery: Leighann Dobbs – Ghostly Paws
Small Town Cozy Mystery: Cherie O’Boyle – Iced Tee
Adventure: M. L. Rowland – Murder Off the Beaten Path
- Classic: Lonna Enox – Blood Relations
- Amateur Sleuth: Wendy Delaney – There’s Something About Marty
- Humorous: Michele Lynn Seigfried – Community Affairs
- Historical: Michael Scheffel – St. Louis Affair: The Adventures of Herbert Falken
I’m still in need of the ever-elusive reviews on Amazon – so if you have read any of my books, mystery or children’s, please leave me some feedback if you have time. As always, thank you for reading!
I’m thrilled to say that Red Tape made it into the top five of the Fiction-Mystery-Sleuth category in the Readers’ Favorite 2013 Book Awards Contest. Not bad for my first novel! Now I’m deciding about going to the awards ceremony in Miami in November. Airfare is a little pricey in November with Thanksgiving coming up, but I know it would be a great experience. Decisions, decisions. And congrats to all the winners!
I also want to take a moment to thank the more than 32,700 readers who downloaded Red Tape this past month. I greatly appreciate your support and I truly hope you enjoy the book! Leave a review on Amazon or Goodreads when you’re through and let me know what you liked and what you didn’t. If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to contact me through this website!
Be on the lookout for Red Tape’s sequel, Tax Cut coming in early 2014. I hope you are all having a fun and safe Labor Day!
